broke nylint Generation?

Just wondering if anyone knows how to check the nylints to see what generation chassis I have. after crawling around my house for about a week I heard a snap today and now it's only three wheel drive:x If I can find out what gen I have i'll decide how to proceed. I really don't want to return it to walmart because if we all did that everytime we broke one they would soon figure out not to sell nylints due to high returns on broken trucks. No I have not been kind to it I put it through its paces on evrything in the house, but if breaks climbing in the house what can I expect on the rocks?

look at the shock mounts if you have screws on the top and bottom of the shocks than you have a new generation NYLINT CRAWLER:mrgreen:. Personaly if you had a old generation i would return it becuase thats why nylint came out with the new generation thats kinda why they make a new generation to make it better and have less breakages so they won't loose $$$ on returns and refunds. so be kind to nylint and call them up and ask customer service what they can do see i don't try and cheat the system becuase the company will loose $150 on a return/exchange.;-)

thanks joecrawler ! I do have a gen 1. I think if I can find one of the new generations in stock I'll return it, seems the only sane thing to do on my low budget:roll:. I just hope I can find one in stock up here. last I new my closest walmart was out of stock. but there are 4 more to check still.

There are actually 3 generations in general. They went from the first generation with a pin by the gearbox IIRC, to plastic splines there, to this generation with metal splines. If someone knows for sure please chime in.
