Maybe it's just me or the pics, but it sure looks small. How big is the final product going to be?

It's a start though ;-) I see the Mapp gas,but yet I see a little more than just "tack" welds. Are you planning on brazing it also to clean up the joints and to help fill in the burn holes?

crawldog 01-04-2006 11:41 AM

its going to be about 12.5 to 13 inches long and 5 inches wide is that big enough? yes im going to grind the welds down and braze it the welds are small just looks like **** in the pic but in person look better  and what axles should i use the tmaxx axles or clod axles ???

TwistedCreations 01-04-2006 12:41 PM

well guess it's big enough. depends on your WB you want to run with. As far as axles, that is your call also. I have both a maxx and my son has a stick. The clod stall helps every once in awhile, but I wouldn't trade it for my shafty anyday. I like the extra diff clearance I have. For the most part, that stall ticks me off. I don't have as much as a controlled "slow" crawl as I do with my shafty.

I try and put up somemore pics tonite so i guess i better go and bend some tubing :? i willl try and get the rest of the chassie done tonight

your sleeve is detracting from the tuber :)

Looks like good begining to me. The front end will crumple as is, but I assume you are not done if it will be shafty.

crawldog 01-04-2006 09:30 PM

this is my first build to so give me all the info u want and who has the maxx axle brackets to make it solid and have the 4 link come off of it i seen it before but dont remember who made?with the steering on them also

Now we are getting somewhere,,,, looks great.

Looking forward to see the rest of it.

Great work man! thats alot of fabing for 2 night, and I though I was fast biulding mine in 2 weeks, lol!

I think everybody is making there axles coming off of the Maxx diffs... I think the best design I've seen is by TwistedCreations... looks really sturdy and have a tun of diff clearance...

Later,
Jake
