Wow! Get a close up of those seats! Looks great. Oh yea... hope you atleast sanded your body before painting it... doesnt look liek your primed it. |
I'll get a closeup after lunch. And yeah I sanded it, but primer would have been better. Her 1:18 was primed instead of sanded, and I think its gonna work better. |
Looks good, what did you use for the Bead locks? |
Dude you gf is the bomb that free hand art work is awesome. Lucky u to have some one that is willing to do it 4 ya. |
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...7/100_1260.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...7/100_1261.jpg She just looked at a picture of my jeep to do it.... The beadlocks are just some craft store acrilic blue and black, she mixes colors with the best of them. Then the bolts are silver sharpie. Wait til you see her 1:18 ;) |
those seats arent my thing. But damn they look great. She's awesome. |

The best part is - she suggested painting it that way, plus she bought it for me. |

This is mine, waiting for a battery holder to finish the lights. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...7/102_1313.jpg This is hers, custom painted of course, and 3 coils cut. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...7/102_1314.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...7/102_1312.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...7/102_1311.jpg |

Looks great! Did you get your battery pack and LED's online or at a local store like Radio Shack? That's the exact setup I want to run on mine, with the exception of the Blue LED's. |
Blue and white LEDs came from www.superbrightleds.com Everything else from the shack, i can list some parts if you need them. I'd suggest something different for the front rock lights, they pretty much hit the axle and not much in front of it. I like my blue leds :P theyre like 5500 mcd, so they work nicely. |

I agree. btw this is the pic she worked from, mixed like 3 colors to match. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...o27/myseat.jpg I cut and glued the rear belt, havent got a chance to take it out yet. Seems to work great right now... probably do the same in front once i try it outside. I'll post pics if its anything visible ;) |
Haha! I dig the pic of the YJ with 4 33"s wedged in the back-looks familiar lol!! Although I'd usually take the back seat out, stack 3 back there, and put the 4th in the passenger seat :D. *****in job on the jeep! Your gf is a true artist!! I'll be doing my 1/6th to look like my YJ as well, as soon as I get off my lazy *** to do it :). I may even put square headlights on it. I've got TJ flares waiting to go on the YJ as well, let me know how that works out for ya. Still running 33s, or are ya to 35s now? |
I could have taken the back seat out, but there's still 2 10's back there in the way :D I was thinking about square headlights, but i have no clue how i would do it. My flares - havent got a better pic yet. If I can help at all feel free to PM me and ask! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6..._102_13082.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6..._102_13092.jpg No 35's yet, just got new tires in the same size. |
Haha, I hear ya on the subs. I've got two 10"s and an Alpine V12 back there myself :). Lookin good on the TJ flares. Gotta ask, why did you cut the front flares instead of leaving them and going with the TJ marker lights? And as far as the square headlights go, I've got some ABS sitting around, so I'm going to epoxy some in the round holes, Dremel a rectangular hole in the resulting blank spot, then trim the stock lenses to fit. Got no idea what I'm going to do for the marker lights, though. |
wow sweet job. If you make it any more similar ull be taking the keys and trying to get in your nylint! |
