| My First R/C. Pics
I'm 35 and finally got my first R/C since I was 12 years old. A 1:6 Nylint Jeep. And since I can;t leave anything alone, and because I've been lurking here for a month, I just had to paint mine up. I stretched the wheelbase an inch. But moved the front axle back to stock because the steering arm was contacting the spring. How do I fix that? My fiance' bought me this thing for Christmas. We have been talking about painting our 1:1 CJ-5 purlple so I painted this one purple metallic to see how it would turn out. I also painted the rims flat black and the bead locks gold. The interior got green gauges and headunit and silver (suppsed to look like billet aluminum) knobs and vents. Seats are black with purple inserts. All I can say is the 1:1 will not be getting painted this particular shade of "Barbie" purple. But I still don;t think it turned out all to bad at all. Representing my prime influence. And I like this guy a lot! Poser shots. I have plenty of time to beat all the paint off later. Hell it ain;t even dry in these shots.. I just noticed while posting this that my tires are reversed on one end and not on the other. Well I never said I was smart. Now wheres my screwdriver... Future mods include. Headlights and tailights. Some sort of engine sticking out of the hood. Im sure I can find something I can mount in there. Possible new paint. After my better half and I beat the purple off. Again it will be an experiment to see how the 1:1 would look. I want to paint it like a cow. A holstein to be exact. But she thinks a white Renegade clone would be better. We'll see... A driver and a hoochie riding shotgun. If only I could find a hooters girl doll. So what so ya'll think? And if the pics don't woirk here is a link to the album. http://www.imagestation.com/album/pi...il-AlbumInvite Last edited by LYKOS; 01-08-2006 at 03:48 PM. |
