Quick question.... WHAT ARE SOME THINGS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE AXLES ON A CRAWLER TO GO OFF CENTER WHEN ARTICULATING? I just built a TLT over the weekend that has about a 13 inch wheelbase. But when I flex it at all, depending which tire comes up, the front and rear axles move from right to left and make it look off center. I've built a few of these and that has never happened to me before. I have the links triangulated and they are real stiff. NO SIDE TO SIDE MOVEMENT AT ALL. It just goes off-center when articulating. TOTALLY BLOWING MY MIND. Could it be that the shocks are at too steep of an angle, or anything like that. The only shocks I had to use were TWIN FORCE SHOCKS with about a 1/4 inch cut off the springs. They work good but I think I would be better off with 4 inch shocks. (SO IF ANYONE HAS A SET OF MAXX SHOCKS THEY WANT TO TRADE FOR SOME TWIN FORCE SHOCKS LET ME KNOW.) GIVE ME SOME IDEAS, I'm going crazy over this. Clark |

I would be led to believe it's in the links. Where you locate the links on the chassis and axles will determine how the axles move. If you can post a pic, it could be helpful to see what you've done. |

To get rid of it it needs to be double tringulated. Uppers and lowers opposite of each other. A pic would help. Cole |

I'll try to get pics soon and post them. Maybe this evening. I thought maybe it could only be a couple things....AND I COULD CHECK BOTH and actually finish the truck before taking pics. Clark |

Another thing I discovered that causes this is having the link too far from being parallel with each other. Im talking looking at it from the side, not from above (you want it to look like a triangle looking down) If the upper and lower links are mounted too far apart at the axles, and real close at the chassie you will have problems!

They are the same distance apart at the chassis as they are on the axle. So I don't think that is the issue. I didn't get to take any pics last night. Hopefully I will tonight and I will post them. Thanks for the info. Keep it coming. Clark |
