| Burnt Up Steering Motor, Think I Can Replace It...
WITHOUT HAVING TO ORDER ANOTHER CHASIS. I knew someone would say "just buy another chasis", so I figured I'd get that out of the way. Anyone think I could get a simular replacement at a LHS/online??? |

No, mine bogged down when I o-ringed it and started smoking, lol. I had everything apart and was testing the o-ring just making sure it worked okay. I didn't realize that I had the arm in a bind. When I hit the power and went to turn the belt didn't slip, the motor just bogged down and before I realized what was going on, smoke came out fom the motor and she stopped. I hooked up one of the axle motors to the steering wires just to make sure it wasn't the elect. that was messed up, and sure enough the axle motor worked fine. So I need another motor... |

take it you dont have a second chassis lying around, if you could rig a pully to a hobby motor it'd work, may wanna take the motor to the store with you and see what can size it is etc

That's what the plan is as of right now. Going to LHS tomm. to see what they have. 1. I don't know if the pulley off of the stock motor will come off 2. I think I'm gonna have to find a motor that operates @ 12V, don't know how hard that will be to find at a LHS... LYIN KING- What $59.99 specials. I was just at my local WW last week and all of the 1:6's were still $149.95... | |
