Default vp dg on axial trans

i just got my vp dig in mail and trying to put it on my trans. I have a mirrored trans and wondering if there any way i can keep dig towards the back wheels or is it better to the front? way i assembled it, it goes to front. Also i just see the big spur gear will hit so im stumped. wondering what you guys have set up? pics of urs would help thanks

You need to un-mirror the trans the motor will still sit on the passanger side with the spur to the front. This is the Eritex dig, but there almost the same dig.

Unless it's for a scaler you want to diconnect the frontwheels (2wd/4wd)instead of the rear,gotta put the tranny back to stock position. No way around it. The minor weight shift won't even be noticed compared to the unbelievable improvements having dig makes.

its going in a wreckluse so u saying un mirror the trans and have the dig towards the front of the jeep? I do have 4ws in it also if that matters. But i do like how u say in scaler have 2 and 4wd.

to have 2/4WD on a scaler the dig would go on the front with the spur to the back, would allow for some powerbrake style burnouts to. To lock up the rear the dig needs to be on the back with the spur in the front though.

Your Dig should be locking and unlocking your rear axle. When you lock it you can turn on a dime. No way to have a mirrored trans with dig. It should look like this:

the HR dig im pulling off was on with it being mirrored but i was not happy with how it binded the trans. That is why it was taken off
