| aluminum axle cases-spendy!
here's a guy in England who CNC'd up some axles. He uses Tamiya XC gears with TLT shafts and uprights. Prices translate to around $400 each, but damn, I want some! He's also got a transfer case for the big-rig 3-speed. http://tamiyaclub.com/CS/forums/thread/145733.aspx |

Those are beautiful. The trans isn't bad either. $400 each is a bit pricey for me though.

I didn't know TLT shafts would work in XC diffs. Interesting, Does anyone have the part numbers for the XC diffs? EDIT: Found em. You need to buy from tamiya's web site 9805556 2x8mm screw 9805482 diff cover bag 50602 diff gear 2300010 9mm washer The pinion is: 0555015 plastic bearing 50380 e-ring set 3455325 propeller joint You use a gear from the above 9805482 9805185 metal bearing Might be some more, double check the diagram for the Touareg on tamiya's site.
