| Dirtoyboy's Scorpion hello, newbie here from missouri. Well after $50 in tires, $45 @ wally's and 2 days locked in my apartment, here's what I came up with, thanks to rccrawler.com. Here's some specs: -2.2 inch wheel conversion -tummy tuck -cut springs -boggers/mashers -beer can body panels -fabbed mounts for inboarded rear springs -extended droop links to 3.8 cm -cut fenders -mounted battery in engine compartment next.....some sexy motors, 4 link setup and new steering. You guys likey? You do realize that only the front two are boggers right? Unless you've switched them since the pix |

they may be for others but i have noticed them slipping ALOT when the IMEX compound would hook up, esp on 35* plus slopes. The compound is a lot harder on the prolines. Rock crawling requires a softer compound. The prolines have NO sidewall flex either compared to IMEX IMO. Contact patch is less than the IMEX. I guess i have some research to do, being as i'm a newb to RC but not rockcrawling. |

Hey noob! Take the foams out of the Mashers. The mashers have a better (softer) compound and a more pliable tread than the Imex tires. On an incline the Mashers should have more weight placed on them...they shouldn't slip. | |

JIA, thanks for the tip. I did that before I even got home. Alright, you guys are right about the mashers and I'm wrong ok? At first the compound was very stiff with little sidewall flex but after playing in the rocks for a while, the sidewalls and lugs have really softened up. And now, the bogger lugs are almost too soft and slip sometimes. Oh well, guess i have some more research to do. thanks again guys. Now to go play on my new rock course |

Cool. So are you going to get 2 more Imex tires or go with the Mashers? |

I would stick with the swamp dawgs they are very soft and are the best looking tire I think. Heres some pics of mine before without 2.2 and after with.
