And this thing is great, except after the first time I used it, it wont steer anymore. I did notice a few things: It needs bigger tires, like the tires off a 1:6 would be great. I tore the body off, and apart, and repainted everything, Lime Green Body, Left the interior black, painted the seats green, cage and armor flat black... Anyways, how do you get the wheels off? I want to turn the front tires around... TIA |

Tires for the 1:6 Nylints are just too big for the 1:18 rigs. It'll put way too much stress on the driveline, and your steering is going to suffer. If you do a search, you will find more than one thread already discussing how to remove the wheels. What you do is turn the center cap on the rims counter clockwise about 1/8 of a turn or so, and pull them straight out. Be sure to protect the chrome, if you are concerned about scratching them. Look around in the 1:18 forum for the 2.2 tire mod. If you want giant tires and tons of clearance, why not just start with a larger truck to begin with? |

ok, btt i tried a couple things with mine last night... and failed i cut 1.5 coils out, then took the screw out of the "shock" (more of a directional guide) and this thing will flex and droop really well but when it recompresses, the "shocks" have seperated and wont go right back together, any of you genius' have a good solution? also, has anyone trimmed the blue cross bar between the links to the frame? mine hits the frame at full droop and it would flex more if i could eliminate that.. also, if i trimmed the limiting tabs on the pivot pin, would it slide apart? could i do that to make it twist more?? tia! |

Put a limiting strap on them. I took the screws out too, and made a short limit strap out of 2 wire crimps and a short piece of wire. It doesnt add much more travel, but it works. Eventually im gonna find a cheap longer-travel shock for this thing anyway. |

The HPI Yokohama Geolandars fit a 2.2 rim and aren't as tall as a regular 2.2 tire like the Proline Masher 2k or the Imex Swamp Dawgs. Maybe a set of those will be up your alley. The are also $5 cheaper than the others per set of two.
