Default Ground clearance

What is a good spec for ground clearance? I'm building my 2nd rig and tryed to keep the bottom of the last chassis about in the center of the axle height. This one is going to be a tuber on a sprung set up so...

Depends on your terrain and preference.


Somewhere between 2 & 3 inches usually works.

i have found that a 3" GC is good for me. thats with a 12.5'' WB.

GC is going to depend on all kinds of stuff. Here is my list of factors to set GC.
Driver style
Terrain
Rock type
Weight bias and Overall weight
Suspension setup, Droop sprung 50/50 or a bit of both

Driving style and a bit more of driving style.

There are more variables but it comes down to what you want and what you can do to make that happen.

The shgort version is to kick off at 2.5" for a 1/10 or 2.2 size rig and then work out what you want from there.

For me low is good
