anyone got or tried these!!

Has anyone tried these for rock crawling, i think they would work well with a good weight oil in them!

They get stiffer as they compress.

What are you trying to show us? The link just sends you to Proline's site ("New Products & Events").
Please describe what "these" are.

I use progressive springs on the right rear corner my TXT, they work great to help fight torque twist. I don't see a use for them on a Clod.

sorry, go to products then monster trucks and then suspension.

Its the bypass shocks i was thinking about.

It would be possible to run these instead of shocks, if they held the weight of the truck.and would allow flex but stiffen up under heavy copression and keep the truck stable.

How would they do that without a spring?

You can't run them independently. They are designed to work in conjunction with a coilover shock. By themselves, they are worthless.

The bypass shocks don't use springs - they are only dampers. As has been said, they would need springs to hold the truck up. These would just compress under the weight of the truck, and not rebound. And while they do provide progressive dampening, that is under heavy compression forces when the suspension is cycled rapidly - like landing big jumps. In a crawler, you probably wouldn't notice the progressive rate anyway.

They might be cool for a scale look if you had some leaf springs.

I saw a truck some twhere with no shocks, or springs. It had something like catilevers(Spelling way off) on each side and the front and back conected to eachother with a link, so when the right front whent up it pushed tehe right back down.

Bypass shocks=high speed racing.

Where do you see the bypass shocks being used?

Desert racing....Baja 1000 & 500 and the likes. Have you ever seen a crawler with a huge bypass tube hanging on each corner? Nope, they are worthless and a waste of money if all you do is go slow.

A simple 4" shock with a good spring and oil set up is all you need, don't try to complicate it.
