| battery & ESC mounted plates on the links - affects articulation?
On my LCC, I have the battery on a stiff piece of clear material, but only secured at the back 2 points. It looks to me if I tried to secure at all 4 points, it would affect the suspension as an additional friction point acting like an additional spring. Are people using a more flexible mounting material perhaps? 1 wheel lifted up in front: |

attach it in four corners but only do one tight. that allows the rest to slide easily without affecting your suspension.

I've been doing this for quite some time on my rigs, I normally use a divider for a plano toolbox or maybe even a panel from an old lexan body. I attach them with zip ties and i have never had any issues with them.

I save all the scrap pieces that get cut off of my bodies for 4 link trays. They flex with the links just fine.

I used an idea posted by Bender, which attaches to the chasis, not the links, and actually places the tray lower than the top of the links but still between them, and doesn't flex at all. Works great for me. Sorry I don't have a link for it though.:? Cheers. |
