Default MIP CVD's

So I have a pair of MIP CVD's in my AX-10. They are only about 2 wks old. I have sheared both pins inside the joints. And one of the CVD's is warped. Should I send them back to the company or just move on and forget it? What is going to be the best fix for them?

Axle's, correct not driveshafts? You should feel good that they lasted two weeks, they only last two minutes in my rig sometimes less. I can't believe the pins sheared though, usually the shaft just crumbles. Axial CVD's are stronger and gunnars pins in them help, the best fix is either Felsenfest or Super 300's though. The 300's get my vote as they turn farther, you can get them from TCS in a couple days, they're lifetime warrantied and the locker doesn't have set screws.

Axial CV's with gunnar pins are the way to go if you don't have the coin for Super 300's or Felsenfest.

I ordered 3 sets of pins from gunnar a few weeks ago...for such a simple small item I was uber impressed with the quality.

Alot of people would just hack them out by the hundreds but he takes the time to clean the cuts and make sure that they're exactly the correct length

So now I just have to figure out the warped shaft. Should I just send it to MIP or just trash it?

I'd at least send MIP an email to see what they can do with it. Worth a shot I guess.

Just trash it, buy Axial CVD's if your gonna go the gunnar pin route. Gunnar's pins won't help MIP's any the pin is already stronger than the shaft.

Second thought you could call them and see if they'll send you the new style when thier released. They know the style you got sucks and discontinued them but didn't recall them which is lame IMO.
