| Shock help please???
I have A team Factory team 4" shocks to put in me gecko. The only probles is I CAN'T BUILD SHOCKS FOR ****. I have built them only to find them making a leaky mess of my kitchen table the next morning. Since then I've rebuilt them twice with the same results. These were brand new and I followd the directions perfectly. I have built Tamiya and Traxxas shocks in the past with no problems. I am almost at the point of paying someone to make them work for me.

| They are leaking out of the bottom of the body, where the shaft goes and the two o rings are. I am running 30 weight trinity kinwald oil. |

Try putting white lithium grease or vaseline on the 0 rings. Put it all over them then assemble.

Try getting new o-rings. If not that, you can take it to your local hobby shop.. Another thing you can try is using a thin layer of gasket sealer around the inside of the o-ring, let it dry and then put it together. Do the shocks use 2 or 3 o-rings? Also, you can always buy some HotBodies Threaded Shocks, good shocks, look good, and they come prebuilt =D lol Their what im using now. All i ever do to them is pop the top off, change oil and put the top back on. Also, once you get some good old dirty mud stuffed into the bottom area of your shock NOTHING is coming out =D lol or going in!

I have other shocks, however these shocks have the most travel I can find with 4" eye to eye. They have never been driven on so there is no dirt or contamination. I will give the white lithium grease a shot, I like that idea.

Associated actually sells some kind of grease that they suggest using during assembly. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXSF70&P=0 |
