Default 9.6 volt battery swap?

Can we use 9.6 volt battery packs in our 1/18th crawlers instead of the 7.2 volt. i know on the rockcrawler 1/10 jeep, each motor is made to handlle the full voltage of the battery pack so as long as you dont double it you are fine. i ran mine today with the 9.6v for like two minutes at about half charge on the battery and no problems, i searched but couldnt find anything on this. thanks kevin

you can run it on the 1:18th no problem, but all it does is make it go faster. I ran a 9.6v on one of mine once because I was running a heavy die cast body, but it was still too fast in my opinion. just my .02 cents.

Run the 9.6v and do the extra low gear Mod. Perfect. Extra power and Lower gears. Can you say spinning 2.2's 3 times fast. ( Well maybe not spinning )
