that question is simple. just depends on what you want to do, how much you want to spend. just geting into the hobby, i might get a traxxas stampede. but for crawling. clod or tlt. something cheep that works.

it depends if you know you like the hobby or not. i have had lots of rcs and with my tmaxx all i did was try to crawl and off road. so i knew i would like the hobby, i bought a clod first, on a medium budget, and had a great time but it still kinda sucked. it took more money to make it really good. i built my tlt for a lot less and i can take it places easyer and have more fun in small spots. so i would start with a tlt if i redid it and then move up. also if your aint sure about if your gonna like it maybe a nylight would be good but i personally like modding the crap out of stuff so a nylight is not for me i dont think ok my dinner is done.

I voted TXT, out of the box this is the most complete crawler there is. The only thing you need to buy outside from what they give you (assuming you already have the electroncis) is two Revo driveshafts and 4 springs, $25 extra to the TXT and you have a bad *** crawler. Of course you build it without the cants, but TXT is the best out of the box. |

I voted TLT cuz it's a shaftie,I shoulda voted "other" for a Twin Force. Clods and Nylints a monkey could build a Clod or Nylint, they are the easy way out. If your a weenee and have no brains...build a Clod or Nylint |

HA! My vote put TLT's in the lead. I think TLT's make the best crawler, or even TXT's. Any shafty. Like others said, clods and Nylints are the easy way out. Chassis and links and you're done with clods and nylints.

seeing how i have a 1:6 nylint i dont feel they are a horrible start, granted the belts can blow but they can be really fun and do have a decent starting point, and are easy to mod. At the same time i'm really enjoying the tlt build i'm doing, other than waiting for parts, but i like tinkering with everything. I feel if it wasnt for the nylint though i wouldnt have gotten so far into the crawler style as electronics can be very intimidating to alot of people, i can do em but i really dont enjoy wiring. After all that i voted tlt, just cuz i like the realism in the driveshafts, and i'm already planning on a scale leafer |

I voted for other for a larger Shafty. Clods are sooooo over done and require virtually no skill to drive (begin flame war in 3...2...1...NOW!) Tlts are good (i am currently in the process in building a scale one), but some times those bigger trucks are more fun.

For the money, you can't beat a TLT. Parts are way cheaper than for the bigger guys. Servos, tires, wheels, electronics, all more affordable when they don't need to be 1:8 and 1:4 scale to work. The big trucks do drive entirely different though, and can be a blast, but its all how much money you have burning in your pocket I guess. |

I opted for the TLT because if you "stick" a clod it will pretty much go ANYWHERE the nylint, well lets face it its not a "hobby grade" truck sure it can crawl somewhat but seriously........................ IMO it takes more skill and patients to drive a 2.2 truck We @ Team O.G.R.E. drive our 2.2 trucks on the SAME course that we mastered with our "big" trucks (TXT and E-maxxes) It was more of a challenge with the 2.2's everything changed how you attacked an obstical to how you would negoitate it all...........................again just my opinion |

I voted other for the bruiser. It may be old but it's got good gc with 2.2 tires stock a sealed multi speed tranny that weighs a ton meaning alotta weight up front where you need it. A cool scale look and with a few mods are very capable. A tlt you have to trash hlaf the truck to make it a good crawler clods are the same way. The txt is nice but i think the bruiser beats all in the coolness factor so without factoring in money i'd say the bruiser has em all beat for over all crawler.
