Thumbs down What's wrong with my new Jeep???

Hello everybody,

Just got the 1:6 jeep. Put a battery in the controller and hooked up the big battery. Truck runs. But when I steer controller wheel to hard stop either direction the truck run full throttle in reverse! Anybody have any clue why this is happening? I am currently charging the 12 volt. My 9 volt controller battery is not new so maybe thats the problem. The truck seems really cool but this control problem is a big issue. Maybe going back to the store....

New to Wally World toys but not new to R/C. I have 2 T-Maxx trucks, 1 E-maxx and a Stampede. Trust me the rock crawler is not performing correctly. Let me explain again. If I turn the steering wheel on the controler all the way to the left or right the truck goes into full throttle reverse! Why is the steering controlling the throttle? If I do not turn the steering wheel to full lock the truck performs normally.

Sounds more to me like the cantilever inside the controller that controlls the steering is hitting on the throttle linkage inside the controller.

For those that have taken these apart you'll see how closely they crammed stuff together inside the huge friggin controller
