| Once upon a time (back in December) my truck weighed 6 pounds, 11 ounces with VP Pro Comps all around, two weights in the back like yours. Now it's 13 ounces lighter and most of the weight loss was in the wheels when I switched to SLW V4s on the back. Before pic: |

Thought I'd throw this out there for anyone wanting to figure out their f/r weight bias.... When weighing each axle, make sure the other axle is level, at the same height from the scale, as the one being weighed. If you let one set of tires rest on the table top while the other end is being weighed you won't get an accurate reading. In the two pictures below, the weight in the second pic was 1.8 ounces less than the weight in the first image, and the difference is even greater when weighing the heavier end. |

Here's mine. Balance point is about 1.5" forward of center, and just a hair to the right. Total weight is 6.25 lbs. |

Pretty sure Bowtie found his rigs balance point...... Just went and measured mine, and strangely enough, it's 60/40 right on the dot. |

ok now it seems that all you top notch drivers have your rigs set up to "balance" the same. do you guys think that it would help if you went say half an inch past the front of your skid? if not why? just wondering why its at the front of the skid and not farther forward to increase break over. or am i off here

when i had a super light rear my truck would lift in the rear pretty bad on drop offs and steep down hills.

so really you just want to set your rig up 60/40 and let it be? now heres another question. should you use more or less weight in your tires? would you want to have ten ounces in each front if you can still achieve the 60/40 or should you have a lighter rig and since both would be 60/40 would they be able to pull the same lines?

I'm gonna let someone else answer that. I'm just a rookie and i have no idea what I'm doing really. i just put mine together and drove it. added weight where i felt it needed it

I try for as light as possible with as much of everthing as far front as i can get it, then add weight to the front til it's 60/40. Never have needed to add weight to the rear.
