| You guys doing upgraded electronics
How you doing it? I'm pretty green when it comes to electronics....volts, amps, resisters.....yadda-yadda-yadda. For us common beer drinking folks (Shlitz and below), can you give us a walk-through? I'm talking keep-it-simple kind of stuff. I'm dieing to upgrade me electronics, but don't know how to make the battery power the boards power the motors and SERVO I'm wanting. Thanks.

are you talkin hobby grade electronics or designing/building your own? most of the hobby grade stuff is pretty simple (just read the directions and plug everything where it goes) i use a electronic speed control (ESC), reciever, radio, and a 7.2V NiMH battery. i bought them all from tower hobbies |

none of your stock electronics will be reusable (except the motors) you will also have to lock it in low. you will need a radio and reciever (i would recommend a 3 channel, in case you ever want to install a winch or anything... www.thecrawlerstore.com has a nice 3 channel setup that is fairly cheap), a servo (high torque), an ESC, and a new battery (not many ESC's will handle 12 volts, and the ones that will aren't cheap. |

I would like a way to use the stock steering servo set-up with a standard esc, is that possible? does the stock one run on 12 volts?

its not possible to use the stock steering setup with habby grade electronics. the Mylint uses a motor (like the ones in the axles) and it operates the same way, the polarity is switched in order for the motor to change directions. thereofre there are only 2 wires going to the motor. in hobby grade servos, 3 wires go to the servo....positive, negative, and signal...... |
