| running skinny claws
took the idea from the 1:6 and tried it with the 1:18 tires. it added a bit more ground clearance which is good. you can see how skinny they get here. on jeep those pics were from a comp we had today. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...582#post231582 Last edited by BOWTIE; 01-29-2006 at 06:48 PM. |

that was the biggest part of it. that and it pulls the edge of the lugs down to the sides a bit. the tires seemed to work about the same from on the rock when i was out at that place the last time.

Nice rigs there Bowtie, looks like fun! I tried that with a set of tires and the screw heads hit the steering knuckles. Did you have to use spacers or something? Looks cool, good work.

we didn't have a problem with the screws hitting the knuckles. the white jeep has spacers though, but that was just to widen the stance a bit. did you tighten the screws all the way?

not much, it's roughtly 1/4" per side in front and shorter in the rear. he used some aluminum tubing that fit inside the wheel hexes and black hub.
