I have the low low mod but sometimes it goes to slow. I mostly run it in high gear, which is the same as the normal low gear. I like the way it is. It would work just fine without the low low mod.

The 2.2s w/o the low range mod works just fine. When I did the low low the first time out I broke a whole ton of stuff (wheels, axle coupler, gears, etc...). I think that with HG electronics you wouldn't need the low low. But really the stock nylint stuff will work just fine with the 2.2s.

so this may be a stupid question but I'm not a big RC guy this nylint is my first and only (well 2 nylints) RC, but is there something sized between the 2.2 tires and the stock nylint tires ?? I just want something a LITTLE wider and taller, for the obvious reasons of ground clearance and side stability....

while that last post may have earned my "newbie stripes" I thought that all the 2.2's were way huge (5"+) but I guess there are some that are a little bigger 4" x ??.....so anyway I just had a little idea after surfing a little how bout doing a dual tire "skinny tire mod" the only "hard" part would be coming up with some stock tires and wheels ??

There are different size 2.2s out there. You just need to look around and you'll find some that you like. I run the geolanders and they are great for most terrain. Here are some pics to compare. It is the nylint wheel, the geolander and the moab. I run the moabs sometimes if I am doing strickly rocks, they work really well with the low low mod.

No I don't want to sell them. They aren't mounted because I broke the rims they were on and I am trying to find some new ones.

They turn alright. I have a servo though. I am using the stock electronics still. I thought that my geos did decent on the dirt.

Default 2.2s without low low mod

i recently switched to 2.2 proline masher 2000s although I have locked my rear axle to avoid the dreaded click i have done no other gear mods and my rig works fine hobby grade electronics really makes all the diffrence in control and speed I'm starting to think that maybe the mashers are a wee bit too big and am thinking of switching to geolanders
