| 6th scale leaf springs. What to make them from?
I got a New Bright Rubicon 6th scale of course on my door step today. I am gonna build it to look like my 92' YJ. Of course, TJ's have coils springs and YJ's have Leaf Springs and I am wondering how to go about making leaf springs for it and what material to make them out of???? Anyone done this before? |

Just convert your YJ to a coilover setup.

Steel strapping. You know, the stuff they use to bundle up big pallets of stuff at a warehouse.

Go to your local small engine shop. Chances are they will have a pile of junk lawn equipment out back. Get the recoil spring out of the pull start and there you go. Chances are if you tell them what you are doing they will let you have it.

you can bend the bands with pliers & they hold their shape good too.
