sdscustoms on here, he is a vendor........my hr super 300s were 120.00, plus you should use berg lockers. i have custom upperlinks made from delrin, bergs work, plus I believe ckrc has HR upper links. |

I know these axles inside and out. Below is a few pics on my truck as of this post. I have been driving it pretty much as is, minus a couple mods, for about a year with no major issues. It out performs T1E trucks around here, and sticks likes their's cant touch. Setup at about 5lbs 5oz fully loaded. HR Axle Flaws: -Crappy lockers -Crappy axle shafts -The threaded holes dont have deep enough thread teeth to prevent from stripping. The aluminum is actually fine -There is no inner lip to the gear box to deep the 2 halves from twisting. You must rely on good locktite, tight screws, and lining it up by hand -Upper link mount is worthless Pros: -Much narrower than a berg -Can use berg parts, and made equally as strong, but with a better track width. -Link mounts are adjustable Specs from my truck: -HR axles with steel clocked tubes in front, and custom tubes in rear that lockout a cut berg shaft, and axial stub shafts -Berg lockers -custom upper link mounts -Super300's in front -Custom super high steer knuckles, with 0 ackerman mod -vanquish chassi -vanquish wheels -leopards -2 mamba micro pros -Futaba servo -Nomadio React RX/TX -CCBEC |

Here's what I ended up doing for my "86jeep" style servo mount. I also decided to run the steering links in front of the axle for now, since it allowed for better shock placement and still utilize the full throw of the 300's. |

ok so i just finished my 86jeep style steering and it took me 6 hours to do lol. i went out testing and it definately made a difference. the hardest part for me was making a bracket that would fit between my shock/link mount and my 4 link mount.

Damn Chris, you keep stepping up your game and your going to get booted from the club. Nice job on the steering mod, that's the one thing that leans me towards them or bergs, do I can get some more turning up hill. |

I see ya are also running the tierod/knuckles out front. I may end up there but I'm still playing with getting the knuckles turned around? |

| which shocks? the losi 4 in shock? i love how smooth they are. i know for my chassis i should have a 3.5in shock but these havent been the cause of me not winning its been my mistakes. when my rig is holding me back ( which will never happen cause i believe its 95% driver if not more ) then i will switch.
