Is it the larger / small gear rubbing together on there side? Meaning not binding on teeth but the actual sides of gears. Make sure pins are seating all the way and maybe check oa length compared to old gears, make sure nothings to long either.

yea checked the gears with my caliper and they are the exact length as stock. im not sure what is binding anymore but i will have to wait till i get my new axle and swap out housing to try again.

now are you talking bout the 3rd 2nd gear and the 2nd 2nd gear? once i get my new axle im going to use the new one and swap out my beerg gears for the hrs and see if it binds in that housing also

No. I mean where the large gears overlap each other, is there any side contact occurring as that would bind things up.

I bought the Hr's Erin's talking about. They worked fine with the Berg inners till i broke my 3rd gear then the binding started. I ended up replacing the bearings and found out that the 4th gear was a little off and caused the binding I relaced it and seams to be working fine.

Did you get all new bearing maybe one is bad or I noticed that when you over tighten the case it will tend to bind

i did replace all the bearings. after the binding i then swapped out to my stock hr gears and used the same bearing except the one for the smaller shaft and it spun freely. went back to the berg ones and it binds. i wonder if i got a bad gear or something. i hope my order comes wednesday so i can try and get it worked out before our clubs comp saturday.

One of the teeth of the 4th gear was just a little off. It would spin freely when the cases were apart but bind when closed. after i replace the 4th gear it spins freely

you could put two gears in close the case and spin them if nothing binds try another two combo you might find the gear that is causing the bind
