Hey guys, been looking around the boards for a while thought I'd post my crawler... 1/18 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited Tummy Tuck Cut and Flipped and Softened Tires Bead locks Cut 3 Coils Now Ziptie ACOS's (for the front to support the weight of the battery) Coming soon Low/Low mod w/ Tamiya planetary set Heres the pics let me know if you have any questions..... Some action shots (all driven in and out of) My new "bead lock" washers.... Here is how I have tried to soften the nylint tires.... started by making 'relief cuts' between every other and opposite treads shown here: and last night modded the inner rim to effectively create more side wall flex...I trimmed the "inner rim" from the inner gray part of the wheel: you can kinda see here how the tire leans.... Tried to keep things pretty simple, the tires are a lot softer, still need to inboard the rear shocks, and maybe lengthen the wheel base a bit. Hope you like! |

Yea if you search for the Low/low gear mod, you can add an extra set of planetary gear sets to reduce the gears even lower, I guess you can also do it w/ a combo of the gears that come in the 1/18, but you need another crawler to sacrifice...
