I just completed a T.T and put it back together, hooked up batt. and truck hums like normal till you move the front tires left or right, but thats it. new batt. in controler, checked all 4 channels, but theres no response at all between the truck and controler. Has anyone else ran itnto this problem, when messing around with the circuit boards? I never had the batt. hooked up when the 2 boards may have been touching. Any help would be appreciated.

I came across the same thing on mine. Double check all the wires on the boards. If one is loose or came off you may need to fix it. I had a little black wire come off on mine that goes from the on/off switch to the main board come off. Just a thought. Other then that you may need to buy another one for spares. Better yet go ahead and buy another one just in case.

are the boards mounted together under the cover, if so you'll need to use sumthing to devide them. i used a piece of rubber my dad got at work, a chunk of a mudflap would work too.

Ive got the large board in at an angle, a piece of cardboard on top of that, then the small board laying flat on top. Nothing has touched each other since Ive hooked up the batt., Ill check the wires again, but its definetely getting power when I turn the switch on, I can hear it humming.

Well I can tell you the response you'll get from Funrise. I spent two weeks getting mine painted, took it out and after 10 minutes I had the same problem, juice to everything but no control. I talked to Don at Funrise and was told I had to ship my chassis to them and they would send me one back. I said let me get this straight...I spend $150.00 dollars to get one to my door, it works all of ten minutes, I have to pay to ship it back and wait the 6-8 weks for you to send somehting back to me...can't you just send me new boards? Answer was nope. I am not impressed and would not recommend their products to anyone after this... Al

As far as the O.P. goes, you most likely broke loose one of the wires on the circuit boards. Pull them out and check each wire carefully. You may need to re-solder one of them back to the circuit board. | |

While I was doing my tummy tuck I would check ever so often to make sure I had functionality, at one point myrig seemed to power on just fine, just no control at all. All the wires seemed to be connected, so I checked all the Postives and Grounds, and I wasn't getting any power to my small board. Closer inspection I noticed that glue was holding the wire to the board but the copper wires inside was broke. So I resoldered it and its been working fine since.

I have triple checked mine and I am getting power (1.5 volts) to the small board. I am assuming this is the correct voltage. Everything else is getting the required 12-13 from the battery. Mine will hum but I get no control...

Well just for the hell of it, try resoldering all the leads on the small board. On mine I'm not entirely sure which wire wasn't hooked up properly, but I just resoldered the entire thing. (all the wires that connect to the small board) after I did that it worked fine. I'll check mine and see what I'm getting on the small board.

I have resoldered those three wires (white, blk and red) at least three times already. They break so easily. I even went so far as to tug on evey wire, hard and if they moved I resoldered them, still nothing. I am very interested in what you get for voltage to the small board. You would think that if something shorted it would smell burnt (you know that smell) or there would be an obvious burn somewhere on the board, but I couldn't find anything...

| Hey, I have to thank you for your suggestion, that was exactly what the problem was. The red, white, and black wires needed re-soldered, and then it still didnt work. I finally had to re-solder the white wire on the big board also. Works great, now I just need to take it outside and see if I like the Tummy Tuck. Thanks everyone for there input. Quote:
