Default Shots of the rig and an easy shock relocate bracket

ok.. youve all probubly seen this before but here we go...

Here is what i started with

then i stretched the rear and centered the top mounting holes on the shocks, chopped off the front fenders and hacked the rear. I also added 1/2"x1" angle aluminum stock for rock rails and above the rear tires. (under full flex, the rear tire was grabbing the body, the aluminum rails help the tire to slide on the body rather then grab).

to relocate the shocks, i used the stock grey plastic shock inserts, 1 piece of aluminum C channel and drilled some holes so the stock shock mounts would hold it tight to the body, then,... off to ace hardward, where i picked up 2 nylon bushings that fit inside of the stock shock loop and 2 nuts/screws and washers to hold it all together.... Bolted it all together and whala! Lots 'o' flex!

Nice rollbar, thats the first thing I did, was wrap the whole thing in electrical tape. Makes it look more realistic. At one point, I covered the whole cage with small pieces of 3/8" hose, which looked cool, but was way too top heavy. Have since removed all hose.

Nice! I wrapped my roll bar also, easier than painting and cheaper.

Cut the roll of black tape down the middle so it's half the width. When the roll bar is wrapped it'll look a little more to 1:6 scale as the tape is half the width and the wraps are closer. It'll take more time to wrap but it's worth it in looks! I used a VERY sharp knife and cut it down while it was still on the roll.

by relocating the top of the rear shocks inward that little bit.. does it make that much of a difference..
