Default Suspension types?

I picked up a 1/18 Hummer at Toy-R-US tonight. I stripped it all down, modded the wheels to fit VMG axles and started trying to fit electronics.

Here is my problem; suspension.

I already have crawlers, so I want this to have more of a scaler look. Hummers are 4 wheel independant, and I am using VMG solid axles, so accuracy is already out the window. I am wondering about how to hang the suspension.

I could do a 3-4 link setp, but I have also seen a lot of people doing the springs. Which way should I go?

I think doing leaf springs would better most logic for what your doing. Unless you want a crawler then do a 4 link. Post some more pics of it

I wouldn't worry to much about the solid axles, you just have to call it a Bummer now . Do some research on google and you can find lots of 1:1 Bummers and u cna try and model after some of those. That looks like a cool project. Thats my 2 cents.
