With the 2 big deep cycle batteries we'll have inside we should be able to run all the lights for about 10 hours without having to start the van.

All the lights should work great for those late night parking lot bash sessions and sword fights we get into as well.
Hey Jason,
Just wanted to let yo know, next time you need to order lights please let me know, I get these crazy cheap at work. I can get the 4 LED ones for $90 A PAIR!!!!

I don't have any large stickers to send at the moment, but have fun!

There is no way you are getting the visionX ones for that cheap, their 4 led lights are $450.

You might be getting the cheap chinese ones for that, but it is my understanding that they are no where as bright, and they don't last at all, they overheat quick.

I can get Visions, the exact ones you got, or the Rigids. Depending on the light, Bar style, or single LED. The Rigids are sometimes brighter.

The rigids hold a killer warranty and we've yet to have an issue. I plan on running the 4 LED version for rock lights on my toyota soon! They have under water test, shoot it with a gun, and the amp draws are still very small!

The visions you got, my cost was $75 each last I checked into them. We stock 30-40 at a time. We typically put them in Tahoes for alley lights on our police vehicles.

Very cool idea Jason....

Only thing I can suggest is start off kinda simple, as these things can get out of hand and never get finished or worse yet run into a host of problems......

A local guy made one similar (was a small cargo truck).....he just routed the truck AC into the cab.....then wired up some really cool batteries (golf cart), then made an inverter system......he then just left the truck running most of the day as a generator/ac system....worked pretty good and wasn't as noisy. Since your only driving it so often once done, the motor can take it pretty easy and you can give it breaks with the golf cart batteries(I have these in my toy hauler, they are amazing).

I have an idea for a donation, PM or email me and we can talk about it....

Just make the backglass removeable so when you get to camp all you have to do is unbolt it and install a panel that has the a/c unit built in. That way you dont look redneck on the way up there and it wont be in the way.

Yea for Nats I am trying to get the outside done, and the inside workable. When I get back I'll finish up on the inside.

I saw those before, good idea, but we'd have to be refilling the ice all day.

In the last meeting Dezfan and I agreed we would Donk this bitch out Jason. What gives? We made a tight budget for this upgrade. I say leave the guts alone. Badger doesn't need carpet, he still pees the bed, just spray it out.

An awning would be cool. We put one of these (used) on a friends rig a couple years ago. It worked great, adn yo ucan use the rack on top to haul more crap!

We picked up the used one for about $300, new they run $6-800

EDIT: Forgot another option, pretty cheap, but havent ever seen one personally.

I've actually seen a truck with the cartop thing.....it was suprisingly sturdy and looked pretty easy to install and setup/teardown....sure would be a nice option to have.

You could just put a little hatch door in that side of the van for power, usb, etc hookups.....

Or you could just set one of these up beside the van...

Today I took the van up north and had Slowrockr do an alignment, it drove a lot better on the way home.

Tomorrow it's getting a new windshield, and I may try to work on the inside.

Damn, that is slick, Aaron you see this? I think we can do something similar.
