HPI Crawler King

I bought this "crawler" a couple of weeks ago and have modded it to do some serious crawling. I lowered the body to bring down the center of gravity and cut out the fenders to keep the tires from grabbing. I also upgraded the motor to an Integy tuned 65T brushed motor capable of Lipo. Also I have upgraded the servo to a 278oz Spektrum servo and of course run my spek radio as well. The main problem I am having is with the steering. It sucks!! I've been searching around for a front axle servo relocation part and I am having a bit of trouble.... Any help?!?!?!

didn't search that hard, in the wheely king section of the forum, they have free templates to make your own

I have made my own, it works great! But like said search a little harder"
Here ya go
East end

dude. use the jpsonoma template from the free template. also i think billet works design has a front axle mount along with a battery mount on axle. i used the jpsonoma template with some thin metal and instantly was much better and that was with the traxxas 2056 servo from the stampede, 80oz i think.

I put the east end machine servo mount and metal steering link kit on mine with a semi cheap futaba 3305 servo. It has 125oz of torque and metal gears. It works very well.:)

I ended up ordering the one from east end machining. Which link set will work with though? I didn't notice anything designed and measured to go with the new mount.

heres this, dunno if it will help since you already ordered a mount?

I had that one for a while, it worked pretty well. Those axles are long gone now though...

That's funny, I was just sitting at my computer looking for more ways and was going to post about ckrc now. Unfortunately I already ordered my part from east end. Either way I think I'm going to work with it and my order the one from ckrc as well. Looks like they center the servo over the pumpking and angle it so the horn is dead center as well. Thanks for all the help guys!
