thank you....I'll have more pictures of details soon....this being my first time welding brake line I was happy, however I will braze next time around, and had I known I was taking it this far I would have given it a much better coat of paint with clear coat...oh well live and learn....:)

Your tires in the second picture look rediculous that narrow, other then that the rig looks good.

shawnf6 02-27-2006 04:08 PM

the tires in the picture are a little too cut for this rim set ,I have another set I did without cutting the tread so they maintain a little more rounded look but still put all the weight in the center for traction on ice. my new set has alot more screws and the edges have small nails to bite on the sides. it realy treats ice like rocks I can crawl up stuff it couldnt look at before. for $5 a set I can afford to cut some up . (I have like 6 sets) every one thinks they look like crap but to see them go on ice is impressive enough to out weigh the goofy look.otherwiseI would be in the house....

hey twisted....I was just looking at my kids spd jeep...lol...I think that gi joe is similar. I gotta get another one to start from scratch.

No he didn't.....Yes he did

Are those self tapping sheet metal screws in the tires? Do those work at all? Other than that I think it looks good......Screws?????:?:

Not trying in hijack, but where did you find that GI Joe Jeep? Dang that's awesome. I searched the Wally World website and couldn't find anything.

look on e bay for 1:6 jeep in toys n hobbies. lots of ultimate soldiers and gi joe jeeps saw a 151a yesterday I think it was listed as a navy seal rig... and a few similar to mine if not exact. lots to choose from. my jeep originaly was yellow and from target, but I dont think they are there any more.

the screws are exactly that ,similar to klotz cleats for 4 wheelers and dirt bikes ...but cheap.and they are night and day on ice and cheap too.just cant crawl on ice without them.did I mention how cheap a mod these are? after installing you can easily remove and put from the inside out, now that you have holes to go by....but I dont think there is a need for more traction....I will post a shot soon of my new set I did that are alot better looking and working with 48 screws each and 36 small nails in the side lugs on the rear only ...they are awesome on ice
