i couldn't belive it when i heard about it the first time, i checked mine out and 2 were cracked so i put so superglue on them and the put some washers in the wheels like rock rings and i'm good to go. so yes it is commen to break the rings. what did you break you may be able to fix it. consider youself lucky, we don't have them in stores in canada so i have to use customer service or go back to the states to get another one.

i broke the knuckle. and there is a nasty noise comming from the rear.
the knuckle is still good as long as you dont load it hard. if i get into cracks and stuff the knuckle will slip.

yeah, breaking rings is common. superglue it back on there and you'll be good to go, except for the knuckle, JB Weld "might" be a good band-aide untill you can get it replaced.

i want to know how you guys are busting them.....my Nylint has taken some seriously hard tumbles (on both dirt and rocks) and they aren't broken....one roll was from about 6 feet up a concrete wall, and it landed on the passenger side rear ring.....no breakage....

another was from about 30 feet up a dirt hill, rolled about 25 times before it stopped .....no breakage :?

maybe i just have a freakishly strong nylint

Mine has never been outdoors, and never took any tumbles. Has only laid on its side a couple times.

I thought you guys were crazy too, saying you were breaking the beadlocks, as I had beat on mine pretty hard, and didn't have any break. Then my buddy bought one, and within just a few days, two of his beadlock rings were peeling off really badly. So I cleaned up my wheels and looked harder at mine, and sure enough, three of mine were cracked and starting to open up. So I looked at my wifes crawler, and all four of hers were cracked, one pretty bad. It almost appears though that even with that ring missing, the tires would still stay on just fine because of the way the inner wheel and tire is made. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

One of mine cracked. I emailed Nylint and Steve got back to me the same day. 4 new tires and wheels arrived within a week.
