Default Best Bang for your Buck ?

Looking for the best bang for your buck ARTR or roller for non-comp non-scaler individual like myself. No RTR's needed as I have a strong servo and ESC and battery already. Just need a Motor.

If you could list necessary options for your recommendations that would be great.

Thanks In advance,

Jared

Build as much of it yourself as you can.
buy a set of used axial axles and a trans and build everything else .
the way i look at it is why buy a kit? your just gonna end up replacing a lot of as you go anyways and will end up spending more money in the end

If it is non comp I'd go with a ax10 artr. Tons of fun, pretty dependable and parts are everywhere! Ya can option it up as your performance needs/wants go. 4 link, tires and some tuning will make it pretty capable. If ya want to go moa, a bully artr from jp customs is a pretty bulletproof non-comp way to go.

If you want non-comp, non-scaler, then the Axial is still going to be your best bet. Hands down the most aftermarket support, and very capable right out of the box.

Just an FYI, I'm actually building a couple scalers with my son, and have an AX10 roller that is almost like brand new. Used it once or twice, we pulled all the electronics off for the Honcho. I was going to post pics today probably, so let me know if you might be interested.

x3 on the ax-10 artr. Aftermarket support alone makes it the best bang for your buck. Why no kits?

AX10 huh. Well what about the list of "Must have" parts. Besides tires and electronics.

Thanks for all the feedback and keep it coming please.

I am surprised no one mentioned anything about the Venom Creeper. Much similar in design to the Axial AX10 but a great deal cheaper. Last I checked the Creeper goes for around $110 kit form.

For non-comp non-scale it's a pretty fun and tough rig. Upgrades are available for it as well. You should ask around in the Venom Creeper section on here. Creepers have a decent aftermarket following and can be made into a sportsman rig for you to learn a lot from.

If you find a used AX10 for a good deal that will probably be your best bet. Tear it down and rebuild it...Axial quality on some areas are not that durable but then again most people with AX10s build for competition.

So what would be a "good price" for a used ax10 guys ? What are things to look for and things that don't matter? I will look into the creeper thanks.

Yeah what would be considered a good deal? 100 for a artr roller no electronics at all? What are excessive wear items on crawlers? I have no clue here. I know everything there is to know about 2wd SC and 4wd SC. And a little old knowledge on 1/8th scale buggy and truggy. Absolutely ZERO knowledge on CRAWLERS.

A little insight would be great.
