| morminator moa...anyone...anyone?
I know a few people have these and I am wondering if they would recommend using them or to stay away. I have sent pms and searched but not getting any answers so I would guess that means not too many people excited or using them which would = no good. I have about decided on bully's but I love the set up and clearance on the worminator moa

I found a few threads, my search was just worminator moa. I also tried google and it just put me back here. 53willies was doing a build but has not updated it for a while. what I am looking for is if people love them or hate them. I know the losi axle is a worm gear and a lot of people love them, not too many other worm gear options that I know of. also what would be the best motor and gear ratio for this application.

From all my expierence, my opinion would be to stay away from anything worm gear for a 2.2 competition rig. They are just a pain in the ass.

Worminator, Dang! I was hoping for a thread about a cyborg sent from Utah! (just joking, no real offense meant toward Mormons) |

I have the axles but I've barely had time to test them, let alone drive it for awhile. It took awhile to find a good motor for the gearing (dual 17.5 brushless) and I've put that project aside for now. I just keep getting frustrated because they're hard to work on. You can't see the pinion mesh when installed so it's trial and error each time and they way I built my upper link mounts they have to be removed to remove the motor. I like the ideas behind the Worminator MOA axles but not too sure if RC4WD implemented them right. I'll tackle the build again someday, might have better luck then but for now they're on the shelf..... Why, are you looking to buy some......? |

haha thats too funny, they would totally do it too. I was a missionary on an Indian reservation and we went and cleaned up beer cans and bottles in peoples yards for service.
