I voted XR10. Looks like the bearing issues are simple enough to remedy before its a problem. And its a straight up performer right out of the box.

What is your budget? What type of crawling (comp, bashing)? What electronics do you have (transmitter, batteries, charger, etc)??

Wouldn't say my budget is stingy but don't want to pour a fortune into it. Right now I have a spektrum dx3.0 radio for my 3 existing vehicles. Was thinking dx3s or dx3r. Xr10 kit possibly dual fxr esc or mamba micros. Not sure on esc choiceor servos. I want to run dig of course. I will be doing small indoor comps mostly at hobbytown in toledo ohio as well as messing around outside during the summer here in michigan Last edited by discgolferlee; 11-27-2010 at 04:41 PM. |

The XR-10 is really the first MOA right out of the box, and from what I can tell from the comments, it's right on target. I don't have one but I've been watching carefully and if I was going down the MOA road tomorrow it would defiantly be the AX-10. The after market highly machined Berg axles are really awesome as well but the cost for a set is high also. For some reason the Bully axles just don't seem to be as competitive as the Berg or at least in my club. The AX-10 has changed the MOA landscape, it's nicely priced, works right out of the box and it looks like the after market options and hop-ups are going to be amazing. Welcome back and good luck. |

| Well, you might want to read about those two radios....I believe the 3S only has a 2 position switch which will not work for a dig. The 3R has a three position switch, but you will not see the full potential of the dual ESCs without proportional control over each....for that you'll need a 4 channel radio (like a Nomadio React, Futaba 4PK or a dual stick)...

I voted bully base, just got mine, run with alot of bully based rigs, seem to work good. They are all good choices though. DX3E is a good choice for using one esc. DX3R is very good and a little more money than the 3E. Heard they are discontinuing the 3E, true or not? I am not sure. Good luck and enjoy what ever you get. |

Futaba S9157 Hitec 7950 (just to name a few) As for motors, I run 35T Brood Creep RT motors in most of my trucks and am extremely happy with their performance: http://teambrood.com/catalog/product...roducts_id=109 I hope this helps. | |

Futaba now makes a 4PL radio. It is a less exspensive version of the 4PK. As far as I know it works like a 4PK but at half the cost. There is a thread somewhere here about the 4PL. LINK... Futaba 4PL Setup, Tips, Tricks & Help Last edited by 1rcmonster; 11-28-2010 at 12:34 PM. Reason: added link |

One more vote for a XR10. I have had mine bound up pretty good. Did manage to blow up a final gear and spool. Was doing someting I shouldn't have been though. Since the Avid bearings and hot racing gears, no problems what so ever. My shopping list would be XR10, dual FXR's (with 45t motors), 4pl radio, STRC bent links for the upper and lower (replace the flexy plastic ones), avid bearings to replace the 8mm trans bearings, some white dot rovers, and if I had money, some aluminum caps for the shocks. |
