Spring rates...
 

Hi guys,

here's my problem, I have a 15.5" WB Wheely King with 40 series wheels/tyres and long shocks.
At the moment the suspension has awesome articulation which is great for what I run on, but the torque twist is comical and the truck can barely keep itself upright just sitting there.

I have found some stiffer springs and they seem to control the chassis much better. Only thing is, I think using all four of them will stiffen things up too much, so I was going to use them on just the front or rear.

Is there a crawling "rule of thumb" that you normally use stronger springs on the front/rear?

I had one with a 14" WB and the same problem. First check and make sure the screws in the C's and rear lockouts are not to tight. Same with the wheel nuts. I ended up using stock Traxxas T-Maxx springs and it took care of it.

The truck has four wheel steer, so no lock outs. The wheels move freely, so I'm pretty sure nothing is binding.
T-Maxx springs you say!?!? Might have to try those and see how they go, willing to try almost anything at the moment lol

Stiff rear soft fronts for crawling. Sometimes 1 stiff spring on left rear can help combat the twist.
