Default Transfer case with disconnect

Project Scale 4 Runner.

Looking for a transfer case with or without reduction that has a 2wd / 4wd disconnect DIG option

Is it available or is somebody going to build one ?

Wan to place motor under hood mated to two 4 to 1 reduction units drive shaft to transfer and have the transfer disengage the rear.

the Losi Comp Crawler trans works for a t/case. you can go from 2wd/4wd/front dig, but it will not lock the disconnected drive shaft. because they are for worm axles that do not freewheel. if you can make a brake type thing on the drive shaft the trans would work great.

Cad2Chrome use to make one, actual transfer case with selectable 2/4wd.

Just checked his site and says out of stock so you might have to dig around for one but its out there.

Other then that the LCC seems like the choice for most.

Why not just use an axial trans with dig?

I did that on my LJ Mutt build...

Had the motor under the hood with a touring car spur gear (5mm shaft) then just trimmed down the input shaft on the transmission (also a 5mm shaft).

Works great!

Still, kind of wish this type of thing was available in a more scale design, tough thing is it would be probably fairly bulky.

It actually ends up being fairly small, but awkward shaped, look at the size of a trans with no spur and no motor, with a dig unit on it.

In this set-up, the motor is divorced from the case, mounted to a gear reduction unit, which then has a 5mm shaft to connect to a driveshaft to connect to the input shaft trans case (where the spur normally mounts to)

Not sure if I have pics of this, but I can look tomorrow.
