| CAD Files (DWG, DXF, STL, IGES, VDA, VRML)
This is a designated CAD file thread. (RC related) Sharing, discussing, displaying your latest “legitimate” drawings. The threads purpose is to appear in searches so you dumb newbies can find what is available on the board. As soon as I can consolidate my files I will try to make the avail able. If I recall correctly there are quite a few MEs on the board. Spill it! |

I have some stuff, not in a line drawing, mainly 3d autocad. I will make a list and some screen shots tonight when I get home. I do know one is the pede tranny.

The cool 3d stuff blows mine away, but here you go anyway... Old replica tube racer I designed... By boys ride... I have some 2d parts drawings, but don't know how accurate they are... I only draw stuff as accurate as it needs to be for me |

| I've got a friend who does a lot of reverse-engineering, and he's got an optical comparator due to arrive any day. Once it gets here, I'm getting the measurements of my stock TXT side plates. Once I have all the measurements, I'll write a CAD file and a program. I'll post the files when they're done if anyone wants/needs 'em. Also, I'm going to make some for myself and to sell (after I get off my duff and pay for the blue star ). Only mine will be w/o holes (to avoid any chance of infringement, and also to allow placement up to the end user) and be made from .125 T6 6061 instead of the stock .250. This way, I can shave half the weight of the side plates just by using my own plates! Plus, it will look exactly like stock side plates when viewed from the side. |

Full scale 2005 .dwg of a Hendrix X-Chassis measurements are not 100% accurate but could still be useful for a small scale project. Click to download |

I have had may years to play with it. I have been using autocad for almost 13-14 years now. I started learning with version 10. I have used solidworks before, 3d will be very easy compared to autocad. use the tutorials, it will make your life much easier. If you dont then pick up a thing of aspirin you will need it. |
