how to make custom 4 links for my crawler? ive been looking for a thread that shows me how to make them:mrgreen: |
for what kind of car |
Here's one I made for my buddies old AX10 comp rig. It was pretty unbeatable for the design, and how easy it was to make. I mean it went from 100% Torque twist to 0% Torque Twist. Sorry for the pic quality, it was from a buddies camera. http://i800.photobucket.com/albums/y..._Losi007-1.jpg |
Yeah, for Axial there are a few "off the shelf" options, and a few simple custom methods. |
i made some links for my honcho 3/16th threaded rod 6mm brake tubing and traxxas link ends (dont rememeber the exact #) but its the longer of the 2 and cut to size! they are very strong i can get pics if u need |
Here is what I did for MRC... http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/losi-mini-rock-crawler/249137-greatscotts-4-link-conversion.html |
As was mentioned, can't give specific's without knowing what truck you are putting them on, and any custom chassis or axles, as specs vary. In any case, delrin tubing works great. Use 10mm grub screws and 4mm Traxxas rod ends (assuming for a 2.2 crawler). They can also be bent fairly easily for bent tubes. I've seen some great stuff done with aluminum (not sure if it was pre-threaded internally or not), again bendable. If you go back several pages in your brand crawler's section, I'm sure you'll find a couple different pages where people discuss how they did their custom links, and some people will also build some for you if you ask/pay. |
i want to build it from threaded rod and brake line:mrgreen: |
