Default Super Electronic & Drivetrain

Starting a new 1/5th Twin force axled base rig. I want go get the right electronics the first time around. open to suggestions, Ive been out of the game for at least 2 years and the entire hobby has changed .

My goal specs:
Twin/Mad Force Axles stock width (14"ish?)
Rok Lok 4.0 on 40 series bl's (Narrowed)
Wheelbase: 20-24"
Overall width 10"
Overall Length 30"
Overall Height 8.6"
Tuber Frame.

on the Trans I want to be able to crawl and by the flip of a switch haul ass. Dig would be sweet with this large of a truck.
Axial Trans with a dig setup
RC4WD R2 2-Speed Dig Transmission (Not sure if it will hold up to brushless power)
RC4WD Planetary -> T2 Disruptor
Emaxx Transmission

In the motor department I haven't decided if I wanna go brushed or brushless, Ive been looking at HH 7t puller.

Axial will break for sure. I suggest Emaxx, I use one in my big Twin Force. Just make sure you pick up some steel idlers as well. As far as crawling goes I would really recommend rear steer with a truck this big. If you wanted to keep the two speed you could mix the front and rear steering.

Emaxx or Summit trans for sure if you want shifting for speed or crawl. Not sure which is stronger.
Emaxx boxes have been around longer, and they make a LOT of brushless ready parts for it.

What nitro boxes can spin backwards without having to shift?
What did this guy do? Looks like he kept the nitro box and has a purchased adapter? Or is that an emaxx box?

Not sure how they like speed, but robot parts are prob better torque rated.
Check out some of the boxes available at Banebots. They have a MONSTER twin box.

Summit trans, sensored brushless system on 4s minimum and rear steer. The summit tranny should hold up to anything you throw at it, and revo driveshafts bolt right up. An 18.5 brushless motor and mamba max pro would give you good wheelspeed and low end with the 2 speed trans

Summit Trans sounds nice, I Just looked at em real good. There pretty inexpensive. How about a Servo that can turn the beast without having to go to 1/4 scale servos :o

Sorry, cannot reccommend standard sized high torque servos. There are quite a few by JR, Hitec and Futaba that are near or over 400oz of torque. But they will cost you $120+ new.
Quite a few in the classifieds in the $60-90 range.

My 1.9s I run Hitec MG645, but 120oz won't help you.

On my 1:9 JK I run a Hobbico CS-80 (Tower TS-80). It is quarter scale, but delivers 343oz for $32.
I bought two NIB with dust from sitting for a few years off RCuniverse classifieds for $40. I run them at 6.2v, so prob getting over 350oz for $20.

I use a CS-80 for the front on my twin force but use a massive GWS 777 for the rear. Want a 777 for the front too but just haven't gotten around to it.

Im going to run a CC MMP 1-Cell and a CC BEC wired directly to the hs7980, but just thought about how im going to power the reciever??? Can I jumper off the the bec wires going to the servo? or will that burn out my rx with amps being pulled by the servo?
