Default Mini or Micro???

Which one was the best bang for the buck? Micro goes for $120 RTR now and the Mini for $250. So you can buy two Micros for the price of one Mini.

The mini is an actual Crawler that you can tune and make crawl well, The Micro is a desk toy.

Had 2, now have 0 micros... They would be cool if you were stuck in a cubicle all day but not for real/comp crawling...

I have both and even though the micros are fun to build on, I have to go with the Mini. I only gave like 220( for my mini) for mine(I bought the Micros when they first came out, so I paid a little more for mine). Maybe in the future, when the aftermarket gets betterand the comp rules are in place, the micros might move up. For now the Minis, I think, are a better(more fun too) deal.

WTF? All of them are toys.

There is a Micro Crawler forum here as well as a Micro Scaler forum. There are vendors who support this site that offer Micro products. Maybe you elitist A holes need to think about that before you pop off your remarks?

Ive had both and I found both extremely boring. The micro was cool for about 20 minutes to crawl over stuff on my desk while I thought my mini was boring right out of the box. Didnt climb worth a shit and was just to small for the rocks. I thought a mini or micro would cure my crawling needs in the wintertime here in Minnesota, but I only got bored with them.

the minis i have to agree are overpriced for what they come with stock. i think richard and the guys at losi are scamming the customers IN MY OPINION.. i mean really. plastic lockers, plastic wheel nuts, fake beadlocks?

i mean, the micro comes with better options..

anyways, the Mini has been a blast for me. just get the mini, and a 4-link chasis and youll be an incredibly happy crawler.

Yeah, I agree the Mini might be better but is it twice as good as the Micro? I was looking at the Micro's for in the house only. And I would take one of my old models that I never finished and use the body on it, probably use the whole chassis. Then atleast if I don't like it I'm only out half as much.

EDIT- Nevermind. I had a few smart-ass comments, but theres no reason to waste the bandwidth. Everyone here enjoys crawling, & theres a scale for everyone. I honestly just did not appreciate the Micro bashing, since I own Micros. I mean, if you opened the box, ran the Micro inside for a half hour, then put it back up- then you missed the point of the hobby. How many of us open a box & run any scale "as is"??

And for the record, I have an outdoor Micro area w/ real rocks & concrete. Running in the house isn't much fun for me.

i dont mean to bash on you texasjeff, but ive ran a friends micro.. no fun at all.. my friend even regrets buying it and putting money into it. however, that said, he has periodically been running the micro, but still sees no fun in it... yea you can sit at your desk, and crawl with the micro, but you cant really get into any outdoor application, unless you realy try hard to make a micro course like you have. with the Mini, you can go inside and out, and still have fun.

it maybe a great toy for a baby to play around with and crawl around with, but id say get the Mini if you want more fun out of a crawler.

Sure, the micro is not gonna "crawl" anything compared to to dailed in 1.9 rig.(mini)

For me the Micro lets me piss around w/something on the desk & gets my mind on something else for 10-15 minutes at a time through-out the day.

You can get a Micro off e-bay for around $75-85 bucks... the last order from V.P. for 2 trans cases were that.
