| Delrin rod or PTFE filled delrin
Has anyone ever used the Delrin AF (PTFE filled Delrin) rod for building links? http://www.mcmaster.com/#plastics/=ardhpe Well that link doesn't take you right to the page but it will get you to where you can find it. Last edited by newmexicocrawler; 01-26-2011 at 11:27 AM. |

I used the tube found at the following link to build some links for an mrc recently, plus Adam's shipping is cheap! http://abdesigns.biz/products-page/rc-rock-crawling/ |

I have not used PTFE filled Delrin, I'm assuming you want this because the PTFE (basically the same family as Teflon, PolyTetraFlouroEthylene) since it should slide over rocks better? |

Delrin is quite slick to start with. I wonder if adding the teflon would weaken it? I'm guessing it would.
