| Looking into another crawler need help
hey guys i have an ax-10 that i have built a scale chassis for and is working great, but im soon going to be in the position to buy another crawler, it needs to be full rtr with battery and charger, i have looked at two models the exceed maxstone10 and the venom creeper, eventually i hope to make another "scaler out of this, and have a couple buddies who have the creeper and like the axials and the sxceed is close to the axial (yes i know its cheaper) i have a max of like $155 to spend, suggestions?

Of the two, the Creeper is by far the better choice. Honestly, it's probably one of the best bang for the buck entries going for rock crawling. |

thats pry what ill do, after weighing the options the only things the maxstone has going for it over the creeper are 2.4 controller, and the style tranny.

The Exceed is crap. The Creeper is a decent start and is gaining a fair amount of aftermarket support. You do what you want, but I'm telling you, the Exceed will end up a throw away toy. The Creeper is at least repairable and you can get some money out of it when you're done.

Don't buy that Exceed crap, you might as well look into a Redcat.

I've been around this hobby to know that you're far better off waiting a couple weeks and saving up for the better item than just buying the cheapest piece of crap out there. The Creeper is the only piece in that price range that I don't consider a total waste of money. The Exceed is a piece of crap. If you buy it, when you break it a couple times, and get tired of it, you'll end up simply throwing it away. Do what you want, but don't bitch to us when you realize that you've thrown your money away.

The bad thing is the "couple weeks" is more like a couple months, im 16 with no licence or job, (not my choice) so saving for a crawler is harder than you think, and im just looking for something to mess with, im not going to run comps or anything serious with it

no no, dont get me wrong i posted this for a reason, to get input from those who know a lot better than me. so a thanks is definatly in order, but on the side i think i already have a couple trades for upgrades in mind so just a base crawler, with electronics, and the exceed fits the bill

Just curious, but why does it have to have battery and charger? Don't you already have a battery and charger for your AX-10?
