Default steel shaft pins

hi all.. i m using 2 sets of steel shaft, one set the pins keeps falling out dispite tightening, and the other set the pins broke in 2!! both front n rear!!
what gives? one is from Tamiya and the other from Gmade..

is there a proper way to 'prep' the pins to hold them in place? currently i am trying threadock but am not sure if it is correct or is there a better way?

Are you taking about the pins for the wheels hexes?

no its a similar sized pin for the steel shaft for the motor secured by a grub screw..

are you talking about the drive shafts that go from the transmission to the f and r axles? if so thread locking the grub screw and put some heat shrink tubing around the shaft where the pin goes in to help keep it in

ahhh... heat shrink tubes great idea thanx!!
how abt rubber drive shaft boots? think they'll work?
