It doesn't take much to guard it... I'm currently not using anything...I was
waiting for someone to step up with something legit, VP took care of it.

Sorry, but there is practically no protection on the top. They could have done better IMO.

I'm with Articzap on this one. I love VP, but this doesn't look like much protection. Plus it would not work with many bta setups since the servo has to be run on one side.

Looks cool, but is limited to passenger side only as posted above. Also with all that amount machining involved I would have thought there would be more over head protection for the servo horn. Similar to what Romulus uses. Also that amount of machine work is going to drive the cost up. I think this may go the way of the VP incision spur guard for the AX10.

One more thing...because of the design, it is primarily for a sportsman rig not running BTA.

It would be nice if a pretty design was done for the BTA style setups.

It is VERY nice that is for sure. But as posted before what about us with drivers side horns. And being as thick as it is out front, what horn do you have to use to get full steering capabilities?

I just installed this on my brand new 7950. My guess, and I will bet that all
damage done to the servo will be 90% on the top front, and a little on upper top
sides, just like all my other servos. If your like me and you run your servo at
8V..You like to check servo temps, the unprotected area in the middle is perfect
for me to feel and check servo heat. I will run this and post pics with final
damage and protection... I'm sure most of the unbelievers will be
surprised...unfortunately designs never please everyone.

Typical VP quailty, it looks perfect Only thing I would change is allowing either servo direction, the xr10 and the lcc are both driver's side servo horn. It would be nice to just bolt up with no other modifications.

Final window design did change before this was posted, the servo is now reversible.
