Default Summit Trans Dimensions

I searched and looked through 10 pages and no dice :(, Anyone got the measurements or have a Trans handy?

Approx. 4" wide x 4" tall x 3 3/4" long not counting motor. Hope this helps.

Thanks You rock!!!!!! This is why I love RCC, Thread viewed 3 times and got the answer I was looking for.


Summit transmission Gear ratios, These are Rounded up numbers.

First gear = 25:1
Second gear = 9:1

This is incorrect, they are final drive ratios of the Summit.

I will Update the post with the correct Ratio's once My trans get here


Edit: I Believe this is the correct Ratio.

Summit Ring Gear is 37T Pinion is 13T 2.846 Ratio. So that makes The Trans 1st Gear 25:1 2nd gear would be 9:1. I Rounded up.

Yes, I checked the gears in the exploded view of the tranny and believe those to be correct (with the stock pinion/spur & rounded up).

from the traxxas web site:
Tear up the trail in "high range" with a 25:1 ratio for dirt-slinging speed. When the terrain turns technical, drop it into "low range" for a 70:1 ratio and unreal climbing torque.
