Default did something change?

so I've searched and haven't seen anything mentioned at all, but with the axial tranny, did they change some things on it? because the one I have is different from my buddy's tranny. he wanted me to look at it to make sure it was all good and as I was inspecting it I notice that the case is a little different on where the spur gear goes on to, on his it's flat but on mine it's got a lip or edge(however you say it)
also on the shaft that connect to the spur gear, his has a spacer kinda thing, it's thinner in size than a spacer but thats the only way I know how to describe it

there is a trans with a slipper clutch now.......maybe that is the difference? If you could post a picture of the difference it would be helpful.

Hey that's all news to me I'm sure there is a perfectly logical reason why Axial would re-tool the AX-10 tranny but I don't have a clue.

I'm thinking crazy is a mighty strong word, most of us would admit to obsessive, irrational, addicted maybe even nurdish but crazy? ... naw.

Your among friends.

alright, I figured out what the spacer was for, it's for the tranny if you have the slipper clutch on it, so my question now is does it need to be there? because I've searched and not found one instruction for the locked tranny but only for the slipper tranny, so I don't know if the locked tranny should have the spacer or not

You can run without it, but I've killed two bearings on that shaft before I realized with the spacer in, I didn't kill bearings.

The spacer seats against the bearing and the spur mount, making it solid, without the spacer it can wear out the bearing very quickly.

You can get them cheap: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...mission-Spacer
