OshKosh M-atv scale build

OK, first off im 15.... don't have a job and we all no money is tight right now, so this will be a very slow build, and all yall ideas will be accepted and would be extremely helpful, Ty and enjoy!!!

OK, sort story short i seen this military truck on time on my way back to Georgia from a vacation, this truck looked bad ass!!!! it is called the Oshkosh M-ATV. this thing is a beast. now with that being said here a link on you-tube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7moBp...eature=related

OK now let me tell you what i have and plan on doing, i want to get a Toyota tundra body, and the cab of the ATV looks like that tundra kinda so we will go from there, somehow i plan on mabey getting some kind of plastic and making the doors stick out and some plastic on the bottom ,(because this truck is made to withstand ied) and make the doors suicide doors and make the hood like a dump trucks like this.

OK after that ill get some fender flares and paint them black and the truck will be painted that desert camo color, that sand tan color lol if you get me.
Then well have to figure out that back because its kinda short, but i always dreamed of having a truck like this, but will never happen so whats wrong about making a scale one!!!
Also, i want tires and rims like that, and what do yall think about putting a turret on top?
Should i get big mirrors?
Should i get the back to come over like a square look or should i leaver the back open?
ok its kinda long its just plans and i think it will be a good build all together, and PLEASE give me all the helpful info yall have thanks. :flipoff:

Don't see any Toyota influence at all?

Should be an interesting build.

just as far as the cab goes, its gonna take alot of mods!!!

Do y'all think that a Toyota tundra body would fit on here and work leaving a place to put a bed.

Well what the hell do you see man, this is a custom build, what would be the best body, the front kinda looks like the ford hard body, what do you think???

irockid86 03-10-2011 07:01 PM

to me the front end resembles a 60'muscle car more than any truck. Front fenders, hood, grill of a muscle car fitted to a truck cab with a short bed might work. But you are still going to need a hell of a lot of work! good long term project!

scx10rtr 03-10-2011 07:04 PM

yeah i understand it will take a while, but there's nothing wrong with a project!!!

scale4x4 03-11-2011 08:13 PM

your probably better off making the whole body from scratch

scx10rtr 03-12-2011 09:24 PM

yep thatswhat im doin, my buddy dez is helping alot!! "thumbsup"

I see them all the time coming through Milwaukee, Oshkosh is a hour and half North of here. They are awesome Vehicles.

TrailDawg362 03-13-2011 04:42 PM

I'd love to see an rc version of one of these, very impressive in 1:1. I see hundreds of them on flatbed rail cars every day. If I'm lucky, my next job will be to help build these beasts for real "thumbsup".

scx10rtr 03-13-2011 05:17 PM

That would be awesome, sorry i would have more pic but my camera is acting up so i have to take pic on my phone then send them to my email, then to photo bucket... it takes a while and now when i was spray painting it it fell off and got sand all over it... fml moment.. but it kinda looks more scale, i guess its not finished version, also i got some 1 inch hinges from wally world and they are on my doors so i have opening suicide doors!!!
its coming together really good i just got to figure out were the hell imma put my electronics, mainly my battery!!
They don't call it a project for nothing, also when i put pic up later that spray paint im using came from walmart, its called sand, if your wondering!! o well ill get y'all more info later :flipoff:
