Default RC4WD 2:1 gear reduction...which pinion

Can anyone tell me what size pinion the motor needs to run one of these? I picked one up on here used and it didn't come with it. Their sites just lists "steel pinion gear" and doesn't say what it is.

thanks
Eric

well, there is no adjustment between the motor and reduction unit, so when you bolt the motor in, the pinion has to be the right number of teeth to mesh properly.

From the pictures on their site, it appears to be an 11 tooth pinion...

Thanks, but I'm looking for the pinion that goes on the motor and fits inside the reduction unit.

I'm thinking mine came with an 8 tooth pinion to go on the motor shaft
that goes inside the reduction unit.

Edit: I remembered I just pulled it apart the other day,had it in my Pajero CC01.
The pinion I had on there to go in the reduc unit is a 12 tooth.
